Photo Gallery

To you keep your photos organised the best thing to do is create a new category before you upload them to keep the site easy to navigate and tidy.

To create a category

1. Log into the oneadmin area by clicking the 'admin' link at the bottom of any page of the site.
2. Click on the 'Photo Gallery' link on the left hand menu.
3. Now click on the 'Category' link at the top of the page.
4. Type in the 'Category Name' in the box provided. ie 'School Trip'
5. Now select where you would like the new category to reside ie 'Class Galleries > Reception Class' from the drop down list.
6. Type a description of the category in the box provided. ie 'Reception children visited chester zoo - and saw lots of animals'.
7. Now click the 'Add' button.

To Bulk Upload images to your category.

First you must put your photos you wish to upload into a zip file. To do this you must go to the location on your pc where your photos are stored.

1. Select around 5 images at a time and right click on the selected images > send to > Compressed (zipped) Folder. Now rename the zip file something like zoo1.zip (make sure there is no folders in the zip – just pics).
Once you have zipped your files log into oneadmin area by clicking the 'admin' link at the bottom of any page of the site.
3. Click on the 'Photo Gallery' link on the left hand menu.
4. Now click on the 'Bulk Upload' link at the top of the page.
5. Select the Category you wish to upload your images to from the drop down list.
6. Click 'Set Photo Status As New' (This will show the images on the gallery front page with 'new' under them). Make sure 'Auto Resize' and 'Auto Thumbnail Creation' are ticked too.
7. Click the 'Start Upload' and a new pop up window will appear.
8. Click the 'Browse' button to find your first zip file you created.
9. Then click 'Upload Zip File' to start the upload and resizing process this will take a couple of mins
10. Once this is done you get a message 'Upload Progress Complete! Click on List Photo To View'
11. Now close this window.

If you keep failing to upload try lowering the number of images you are trying to upload.

To add text or change the photo title click on the 'Manage Photo > List Photo' to see all your images.

1. Click the category to locate images for a particular category.
2. Click the pencil to edit a particular photo.
3. Now you can add a title or description etc.
4. Click Update to save your changes.

To upload photos 1 at a time 'Manage Photo > Add Photo'

1. Create a category as above if you haven't already.
2. Choose the category you wish to place it in from the drop down list.
3. Now you can add the title etc.
4. For Thumbnail & Enlarged Photo find the photo on the pc and check the 'Auto Thumbnail Creation' & 'Auto Resize Photo' boxes.
5. Click 'Set Photo Status As New' (This will show the image on the gallery front page with 'new' under it)
6. Add Brief Description & More Description if required.
7. Now click the 'Add' button
